Discussion regarding the lighthouse sectors - life sciences, technology and aerospace
COLUMBIA, Md., (October 1, 2025) — TEDCO, Maryland’s economic engine for technology companies, announces several experienced economic development professionals taking the stage for the lunch keynote session at the upcoming 2025 Entrepreneur Expo, which will be held at The Hotel at the University of Maryland on October 21, 2025.
“Maryland resides within the top ten state economies, a highlight that required work from multiple organizations and entities,” said TEDCO CEO Troy LeMaile-Stovall. “We are excited to welcome attendees to hear from several of the state’s senior economic development members at once. The speakers will delve into how the state is expanding, efforts to support this growth—including insights on current and future plans for the lighthouse sectors—and more.”
The engaging session is to be led by LeMaile-Stovall and will include:

The economic development experts will dive into the strategy to uplift Maryland’s lighthouse sectors – life sciences (computational biology), technology (quantum computing) and aerospace (positioning, navigation, and timing). These sectors highlight several of Maryland’s strengths – the state is home to the largest concentration of aerospace engineers, ranks number one in technology workforce growth and is the number one emerging life science hub, to name a few. Touching on these aspects, the speakers will also discuss the growing number of opportunities available for One Maryland. Attendees will leave the session inspired to continue their journey, equipped with the knowledge of resources across the state and energized with new insights.
