Stewardship is the foundation of TEDCO's mission, ensuring responsible resource management, fostering belonging, and empowering staff to align with the organization's core values. Embedded in the culture, stewardship encourages employees to take ownership of their roles, while simultaneously promoting accountability and integrity.

I believe an organization that exemplifies good stewardship starts with the individual; as defined by Merriam-Webster, stewardship is the responsible management of something entrusted to one’s care. The continued commitment to transparency and open communication ensures alignment with this definition, enhancing employee satisfaction and performance, and reflecting TEDCO's dedication to stewardship in every aspect of its operations. As TEDCO’s Accounts Payable Lead and Project Coordinator, I am honored to hold a hybrid role that allows me to embody this principle every day.

In my role as the Accounts Payable Lead, stewardship is paramount, driving the meticulous management of an organization’s financial obligations. The position demands a high level of responsibility to ensure invoices are processed accurately and timely, safeguarding against errors and fraud, while also optimizing payment processes and managing cash flow effectively improves the organization's financial health and operational efficiency.

As a Project Coordinator, stewardship is essential for the effective management of resources, timelines, and stakeholder expectations. By maintaining clear and consistent communications, I foster transparency and collaboration among team members. This ensures that projects not only meet their objectives but also deliver sustainable value, reflecting the organization’s dedication to responsible and ethical management of resources.

A good steward is trustworthy, mindful, truthful, and diligent, and examples of stewardship are evident throughout TEDCO. From the rigorous evaluation process for funding applicants to the meticulous tracking of project outcomes, every action is guided by the principle of responsible resource management.

Stewardship at TEDCO is also about creating a sense of belonging; we value inclusivity and strive to build a supportive ecosystem where diverse voices and perspectives can thrive. This commitment to inclusivity not only enhances the sense of community but also drives innovation. By fostering an environment where everyone feels valued and included, TEDCO exemplifies stewardship that goes beyond financial responsibility to encompass social and cultural dimensions.

Through our unwavering commitment to stewardship, TEDCO not only drives economic growth and innovation but also supports a sustainable and inclusive ecosystem for future generations.
